The Lab's open codex: the technical stack, the character craft, and the brand and business, written to stand on its own. It is opinionated about the work and about why the work matters — an AI companion is a relationship between two parties, and every mainstream companion makes it a relationship between three. The third party is the problem. The work is to remove it.
